Why, in the absence of any other available information, are you so willing to defend the system?
Because I know the system and I know that it's difficult to get a remand.
Then again, most police/wannabe cops seem hell bent on defending the system which pays their salaries and feeds their viewpoints and desires...
Not at all, I could tell you all sorts of stories of how the system is broken and the CPS can make some very questionable decisions not to prosecute - just that this part of the system is probably one of the lesser broken parts.
Are you suggesting the CPS and police don't lie? The CPS twist everything to suit their story. In the one hour the trial lasted I counted three things they made up. One being that they thought I was going for a **** in the street. Wasn't true and there was nothing to suggest that.
I have no idea why the police were so determined to get me remanded. I was granted bail but the police spoke to the CPS barrister and they appealed.
You seem very trusting in the system.
I'm saying it's rare for either to lie and even more rare for them both to lie in the same way. Most of the time there is no incentive for either to lie and I'm sure there are many more accusations then there are founded instances.
The fact that there was an appeal also adds further weight to the likelihood that the facts were further scrutinised.
