Help Decode This Padlock!

doesn't help much

Most numbered pad locks can be picked easily, pull the locking bar and keep pressure on it then start turning the dials starting at one end, you will feel the locking bar lift up slightly when you select the correct number, then do the same with the next dial and so on until it opens, if that doesn't work start from the other side.

This is what I have done in the past

How did the delivery driver know the code? Is it written on a noticeboard somewhere?
You should also know the code if you live in the block of flats. Ask the factor, they'll probably be able to tell you.

Turns out that a neighbour (who didn't know the code) was having something done with their meter, and it had actually been left unlocked by the handyman who knows the code. Usually it's locked always. Delivery man comes in and locks it again, with my package in there :o

I've had a play in photoshop. Poss 182* ???

These were probably the closest guesses, after going around knocking on more doors, one resident knew the code. 1952. Thanks for playing everyone :D

This post is a real insight into how the world works. Form opinion, search post that validates your opinion, skip passed actual answer. Quite intriguing :p:(

:D In my defense i had been writing that post since prior to OP posting the number :)

but i kept popping into Lightroom to try to find more.

im sorry i hope you can forgive my sin

Looks like the second one is a three, third maybe a zero. (i.e. the ones above what the combination actually is)

Alternatively get two spanners and pry it apart.

There's a more efficient variation on that method:

Although it probably wouldn't be needed on the flimsy cheap padlock shown in the OP.

I can't figure out the 1st digit, but the rest looks like 220. So try -220 and change the 1st digit 0 though 9.

Edit: once you've cracked the code OP (or haven't), I would file a complaint against the courier company. The driver knew the code, but he failed to quality check the photo that he added to the tracking. End result is that you had incomplete info to retrieve your parcel. It's like saying that he's left it in one of your neighbours bins but didn't state a house number or what colour bin it was.

I've done that as well, or there were a limited number of combinations so just went through them all until it unlocked did that with something of my sister's as a kid to get access to her bike or something, she was furious lol
