Help - DID just break my pc???

I meant setting the HDD as the first boot device in the BIOS.

You could try unplugging the DVD from the motherboard and see if it'll boot from the HDD. Try the HDD in different SATA ports, it should be in one of the black ones.

Have you loosened the CPU cooler block a bit like I suggested?

Done all that :( nothing still......

HAHA I just got a picture.....I'm in the BIOS - now what?
edit: didn't touch the ram....

Change the settings for the RAM as I indicated earlier.

10-10-10-28 timings, 1600MHz, 1.5V.

Make sure the HDD is set as the first boot device.

Save the changes and exit.

Hopefully it'll restart OK.

urg so it loaded fine..

I turn it off again

I plug in the Optical cable (left of the Hdd) and it no longer booting picture again....

I will remove the optical driver and see if it boots then trying moving it to the right of the HDD

would do if I could get a diplay lol. No idea why it booted 1 time and not the other!! Nothing changed except I plugged in the optical drive!

Have you tried plugging it in again?

Edit

Try loosening the CPU cooler block a touch more.

Don't go mad, it needs to make good contact with the CPU, but it doesn't want to be over tightened.

rofl it was the CPU cooler again..it gives the number 62 in red letters on mobo now.. was 00 before...usually when numbers come it suggests its working again

gonna just clear cmos again because the screen has gone to a black - but it's a graphics card detected black not a non detection black. no bios yet
