(Solved) Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 No display/no post

just put together new build motherboard is asrock z68 extreme4 gen3 I get no display with gpu installed? but if I remove it It post and i can get into the bios.
My gpu is a xfx hd 7950 all power is connected and on board de-bug led they is nothing lit up at all.
It starts with its post lit up but then switches off?

Just to check, you are connecting the monitor to the GFX card and not the board display output?

The 7950 requires two 6pin PCI-E power connectors, you have attached both?

Yes both conected and using gpu hdmi bios version is 1.00 should I have to update?

do you have to switch the onboard gpu off in bios? not sure as i havnt used a z68 board

Its already set to pci express. pc works fine without gpu? gpu fans spin up and seems to be working just no display

Are you using a DVI-VGA adapter on the card to connect to a monitor?

With GPU installed after de bug Led says A2 it then led lights the switch off and GPU fans spin seems like 100%??

No just hdmi lead just trried with a hdmi to dvi adapter but still same.

Can you try another board? (the ASUS in your sig perhaps?) Try the GFX card in another PC?

My bios version is 1.00 and they is 1.10 would this make any difference?

Only thing it can be is GPU dead? Looks like RMA i'll try updaing bios first one last try.
