Eating it is the most suitable course of action. Prolonging it's life is pointless unless you're going to make it a hut and keep it as a pet.
They still come from chickens kept in captivity just to provide food for us, which can't be very nice for them. So if you're a proper animal lover you should want them to be roaming around... wherever chickens like to be. I have no idea where that is, to be honest.

Why not just kill all animals for eating on birth then if there is no point to prolonging their life? Or are there occasions where you'd want an animal to grow up to be better food?
Yes, why not?
Yes, you'd kill all animals for eating at birth? .Bit of a poor meal I'd have thought. It seems the chicken in the OP might be young and therefore not ideal for eating at present when leaving it for a while and feeding it up could make for a better meal.
The whole point is academic given the dietary choices of Vegetarian but nevermind
Yes. Yes I would.
Never mind eh. I'm sure she'll be in a nice warm place now.
Along with the roasties and parsnips
You've killed it
Should have kept it and had eggs![]()
