Help Me Counterstrike Beginner

i was speaking in the cs 1.6 world, but yes fatal1ty probably is the most well known due to him franchising his name! he is by no means the best in the world and as of a long time doesn't actually play 1.6! HeatoN is part of Team NiP (Ninja's In Pyjamas) who are mainly the old Schroet Kommando Team from sweden! (sweden are notorious for having the vast majority of the best players in the current world).

Figure out the buttons, watch people play, play a lot :)

^Schroet was mainly NiP anyway.

But yea, heaton was most likely the most well known pro-gamer in the world for quite some time, heavily because of him destroying the uk's top team in an eco round all by himself =) But yes, fatal1ty is now most known, due to the franchising etc. Its all pretty sad how people follow these players really though, your best bet is to avoid these wierdos, by all means watch a few of the videos and guides, but dont religiously study them, you're better off just playing and building experience then watching the videos and guides to further yourself once you understand the concept.

More importantly really, just enjoy yourself, if you dont enjoy it, stop playing and find another game with your friend. You wont turn into a pro, you wont earn money, so dont keep playing if you dont enjoy it. Its not for everyone

The scandinavians are generally frighteningly good! From my playing days i remember any scandinavian public server's skill level was at least twice that of any other. Playing some 'random swedish team' would generally end in tears as we get our arses handed to us 13-0, lol! This was from a team that was most definately towards the upper end of the UK scene. :)

what team was that scam? as i have played for top uk, french, and icelandic teams?

It was .torment. (ahh good times!). We werent quite up there with the best in the UK but were regularly practicing against them and mix teams. We went to the WCG (i think) in Liverpool, then London and that was about the 'highlight' heh. Split up when most of us went to Uni. Although i think a couple of the guys carried on a little while and played for the UK team and some big teams. Shame we had to call it quits as we really were getting decent, but alas real life was more important. :)

I dont understand how people like 1.6, its old, looks crap and if you arnt the 'fatal1ty' of the server then you arnt going to have fun getting owned every 5 seconds into the round. (not that i do but ive seen many with that response)

IMO, css > cs

<-------------------------------by this much------------------------------->

1.6 gameplay is FAR superior for competetive play. I tested source in a few mixes to give it a chance, but it's horrible.

Speaking of CS, i've got a game soon and my arms are sore from the gym lol :(
