You're wrong.
No need to be condescending, even if you think you are right!

Clearly says to mark the usb as bootable, then copy the files across..
There are many ways to do it, using various tools or doing it manually.
I was not being condencending.
Something was going wrong, he himself says that he is going mad, so I was merely offering to do it for him.
Why is that condencending?
According to the guides I have read and also by trial and error, it acctually is. After making the USB bootable.
Yes I know you can, I use ISO Images and USB Flash drives to install Windows and Linux all the time, I was only stating that with teh two option that you were given to try, you didnt seem to be giving them a go, and neither of them were saying to make the disk bootable and copy files because both options did everything for you.
Plus its a Laptop, still under warrenty. Not really wanting to spend cash on a HDD.
No sorry, I never said that.
I meant that you can take the HD out of this, and put it into another PC to start off the installation.
That way you will at least get a better idea as to why it fails ( if it still fails )
Infact you are the first person I have ever wanted to add to my ignore list.
Why? Over this? How interesting. Makes me wonder really. Sure, I was wrong, but I was only trying to help... And you add me to your ignore list?
Takes all sorts I suppose?
It ended up it was a dodgy ISO, 4th time downloading it and it worked.
Ok, so good news in the end
Im a little concerned that you have to download for a 4th time.
Now, eventually, running windows 7
So, after all of this, is it a legal copy?
