Help me with first watercooling project

Well i wouldnt hesitate to go for a AC block but the rest of there stuff aint cheap. Tbh its prolly best as its your first build to make it as simple as possible and to give you confidence. Its really simple and once you lose your V plates its easy to slap it together in no time. Expect to be ordering little bits that you have forgot or not expected to need. I cant speak for everyone but iv built a fair few loops now and im always ordering a fitting or braid as i have overlooked them.

I was mainly looking at CPU blocks (cuplex XT di - double impact for P4/Core 2 Duo Socket 478/775 G1/4 without fittings), some are cheap. Also those reservoirs are something else !

Oggiet, if you are getting the XSPC RX series rad then be sure to follow the rad cleaning instruction thread on here...nothing comes with the rad by way of instructions or anything about cleaning before use.

I washed mine out with vinegar yesterday a few times and got quite a lot of gunk out of it. I'm glad I saw the thread here.

Unfortunately I'm not at the stage of having it up and running yet. I'm just cutting all the tubing for the 1st loop now and finding the best layout in the case. There's been a relentless stream of swearing coming out of this room.Haha!

I'll post up more with some temps and pics when I get a bit further.

I remember seeing that case not too long ago. I was actually considering those rads although couldn't find too many reviews of people actually using them though. They do look amazing and aren't nearly as expensive as they look.

The white tubing does look really good. I couldn't see any for sale though when I was ordering.

Oggiet, have you bought any more parts for your WC yet?

Hi mate

Got paid today so gonna order on monday so can be delivered on wednesday as have it off and rest of the week

Cant wait to get my hand on it all, was gonna wait for RX240 but think will just go for thermochill
Now just to find some white tubing.....

Good shout with getting the rest of the week off. I was thinking I'd have everything done by the end of the weekend.Haha! It's just as well I took a couple of days off during the week and now booked Mon/Tues off as well. Nice!

Looking good there. Glad to see you got it all up and running. Wish I'd just gone for the black tubing and orange coils to go with the fans.

How are you finding the fans? Coming from Noctua's I was a bit hesitant at first although they seem to be very good when running around 1200rpm.

Very nice build anyway.
