Not sure how you would feel about it but I'm sure if people started contacting certain hotel chains via Twitter etc (Premier Inn, Travel Lodge etc) they may be willing to help you out with a discount given the situation and for their own publicity?

Interesting suggestion. I'm not too interested in playing the "c card" or the victim card though :/ I'm technically eligible for a blue parking badge but have refused it so far because there are people much more deserving of it than me.

If it makes things easier get it.

There are people that use these when they certainly should not be using them (ie. using their mother's when going for a bit of Saturday shopping). You certainly are deserving of it - and hopefully you'll have to give it back at some point :)
 
A couple of hotel chains have come back to me already. Hope you don't mind me contacting them on your behalf. One has forward the matter to their marketing team, one has sent it on to their 'giving' department.

Not to get hopes to high, but with any luck you might get further help through them.

Try asking about this treatment Ryan, my dad was on it but developed sepsis before it could work and sadly died last month.

From what i hear it has amazing results with Lymphoma.

This is one of the two studies I've been offered :) It basically boiled down to a coin flip, so this one will be plan b. Luckily I can try both if one isn't successful.
 
Hello all. We head down to the Christie in Manchester tomorrow evening to begin tests and scans on Wednesday and Thursday (tumour biopsy, bone marrow biopsy, blood tests and a CT scan). We'll get the results of these tests hopefully early next week and should hopefully be able to start the trial shortly thereafter. I'm getting worse every day so really hoping it starts soon.
