Sounds like a lot of normal tom work too in there, so could be single.

No toms in there at all i dont think, i believe thats his bass drum ha. sounds like a few low tom strikes but nothing too intense.

doubt it, he'd probably come up with some excuse not to enter it and claim he's above it :p ;)

and before you say why havent i entered the guitar warriors contest... straight up, i suck.

Ooo and btw not the case at all, id enter but the only means of me recording are a crappy roland electric kit, and the sounds and voice banks are dreadful.

when the studio is finished ill record all you want. on my lovely gretshc :]

ps. - sorry bout multiple posts.

Hmm, I would ask our drummer to enter, but that would mean having to teach him to read and operate a computer first ;)

Theres something in that.

Our drummers so far -
Gary - no computer
Paul - no Computer
Ivan - no computer
Tim - computer but rarely used it
Paul - no computer
Cliff - no computer

Blatently true.

The only drummer I know who has a computer is actually a guitarist.

Strange that, because I'm the most computer-savvy in the band, and I'm the drummer.
Our bassist also manages to be the most intelligent out of all of us, too.

I'm the computer geek around here, and I'm a drummer!

Speaking of double bass, I got my new Iron Cobra double bass drum pedal this morning. Plays like a dream. :)

Neon is actually one of the nicest people I've ever met, really genuine.
He's also a bloody good drummer :).

Talking of drummers about a month ago I had a call off this young lad - http://myspace.com/joeblanks
He was interested in joining my band but being 16 and wanting to make a career out of drumming made me feel he wasn't suitable (we're all old men at the end of our days).
On monday he was on Let Me Entertain You program on BBC2 doing a drum solo and won a £1000 and goes to the final on friday 4:30pm BBC2.
He has videos on his myspace site (scroll down the page) and I can't help thinking that some major band will come in for him.

well from my experience of reading what he has said on here he's incredibly arrogant about his drumming abilities and has questioned quite a lot of other peoples setups or talked down to people about drumming.

i'll have to take your word about him in real life as i know the internet doesnt really portray people accurately. i have no doubt that he's a nice guy :)

Agreed.
We've asked Neon many times to bring something to the table and he won't.
Its very hard to respect somebody when they are being arrogant but they are telling us how great they are and we haven't heard them.

We have a Guitar Warrior on here called Docaroo and he posts in a similar style to Neon.
The difference is that he bought something to the table and has shown what a fine guitarist he is - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=7647425&postcount=27
With that in mind I can respect him and read his posts in a different light because he does know what he's on about.

Yeah, I have the powerglide version too. I'm not bothering with the Trick/Axis ones - the direct drive doesn't do it for me (can't control the bugger!) and they are seriously overpriced.

I would record but the only way is by my digital camera which is rubbish quality. I'll give it a go someday I guess :)

Key words there.

Gene Hoglan (arguably the greatest metal drummer of all time) uses a beat up 20 year old set of tama camcos, and he has some of the smoothest feet ever.

Having said that, though, I still wouldn't mind a nice set of Dw9000s :D
