Help! Think I'm being scammed!

Technically any insurance monies you recieve from parcelforce should go to ebay (or ebay's insurance company). not you. as ebay have paid out and are as such out of pocket.

you should get the money for the camera you sent. anything more would be fraud on your part.

True, but tbh I really can't see them paying out anyway

I assume Ebay would pickup on it if he continually kept claiming things were lost, how many times he could get away with it nobody knows.

I only buy from ebay nowadays don't sell anything anymore because of this sort of thing. I'm glad the op didn't lose out in the end.

What's to stop morons like this keep doing and doing it getting free stuff off ebay?

Nothing. Why do you think it happens so much?

And I wouldn't bet against EBay realising their mistake and billing you for it at a later date. I would get that Paypal account unlinked pronto.

It's deleted and I've put in a request to close my ebay account too, I've encountered 6 scammers in the last year and I'm sick of it. There's plenty of other places to buy stuff online

The guy got the £250 back even tho you had witnesses at the post office? :o omg how retarded do ebay have to be?

Do they not look at facts? I know you got to keep the money and thats great, but this scamming scum got a free camera

Absolutely sod all.

It's a complete joke.

I just sold some hi fi speakers for a lot of money. I turned down over 20 buyers who refused to pay in cash even though they lived nearby and would have to collect anyway. Sorry guys, cash only.

Managed to shift them to a top bloke in the end who's interested in a bunch of stuff i hadn't advertised too. Result.

I thought you simply HAD to offer paypal as a method of payment now on ebay, which is why all of this goes on. Scammers buy what they want and just pay via paypal.

Yeah it does say that when you list an item.

I just wrote in the description "Cash only, listing paypal because apparently i have to".

Probably against the rules, but you know what? So is robbing people of their stuff and money.
