Help - Want to move back to android from iphone 4s

I actually don't think there's much of a difference between the camera interfaces, the GS3 one is pretty good, it has loads of options.

Is it just the filters you're talking about (and slow motion obviously)? The GS3 has a few filters now too and they're pretty nice. Failing that, you can just use Hipstergram. :p

I think there are more advanced settings overall when it comes to the camera options and video options i.e. the widescreen shooting mode (don't think the GS 3 has this?) and other wee settings, granted some people might not be bothered about them though :p Find them pretty useful personally.

Also talking about the filters as well, yeah the GS 3 does, but no where as many :p Unless Samsung have included more in an update?

It is also the wee things, which have the biggest impact for me personally i.e. the burst feature, with sense V4/X/S etc. you just have to hold the camera button down and it automatically does the burst shot where as with the GS 3 you have to select the mode first and then take the shots, small feature but very well implemented IMO.

Also prefer the way the panorama feature on sense V4 works/looks.

The one thing I do like about the GS 3 camera is the way you can add shortcuts to the side though.

Ok Robbo let me put this to you : Is the GS3 worth £150 more than the HTC one S ? In your subjective opinion that is ;)

I should add I have six screen protectors here for one already too ;)

Also one last point before I go to bed, you'll probably have a better time watching the videos back on the GS3 screen as well. Usually you end up showing pictures and videos to people on the device itself.

And the extra space may be handy for this as well, 1080p soon chews through your storage space!

Yes, it is. As long as you want those extra features, and from what you've said, I think you probably will.

There is almost a proper fanboy fight going on in here now.... fight fight fight ;)

There's nothing of the sort really, I don't care which one you get, as long as you're happy with it.

Anyway, I'm off to bed now so can answer more questions tomorrow. :p

This :)

If you want to see some proper fanboy fights just pop into the GPU sub forum :D :p

Regarding storage, I still haven't ran into any problems but of course this will vary:

Thanks mate for all your help! In all honesty does the one s behave a lot like the desire to use?! If so I'm going to go with it I think as I like my old desire to use, and in truth if my dearly beloved wouldn't have a massive strop I would have it back!

The only thing that concerns me now is that the s3 is worth considerably more from the likes of Envirofone etc, though I guess a purchase cost of 150 extra may have something to do with that as far as the s3 is concerned

No problem :)

It doesn't behave a lot like the desire, it is MUCH MUCH BETTER! :D :p

Seriously in terms of the screen alone, it is far better, the battery life is miles ahead, not to mention the speed/smoothness, camera etc. As I said before the one S is a flagship phone in its own way and up there with the X and GS 3, only thing that holds it back is the screen (not saying that the screen is poor, just not as sharp etc.)

In terms of the software (desire on stock 2.2), imo that sense version is pretty awful, far too bloated, far too many menus/sub menus etc. and in general a bit dated looking now, with sense V4 everything has been given a nice modern look/feel to it and not being as bloated etc. If I weren't into customization etc. I would be more than happy to stick with everything stock sense on the one S.

LOL, had a look at envirofone price for the one S, ignore that! They must have it done automatically so if the phone is classed as mid range it gets a certain amount, the one S is certainly worth more than that second hand (in good condition at least £300) even more so if you get the S4 CPU version. Just to show you how ridiculous that is, the GS 2 and GN get more than it, yet the one S is better overall than both of them (apart from the nexus's screen).

Wouldn't worry about that, sell it on ebay etc. and you get far more than that.

Final question gujys - How do I know I'm getting the one with the better battery life cpu? Is that the S4 1.5Ghz one?

Thanks :)

Yep, you want the 1.5Ghz one. Most of them are the S4, thankfully.

If you thought your Desire was nice, then the One S effectively improves on it in every possible area, and generally wipes the floor with it.

The now year and a quarter old Galaxy S II blew the Desire away, the One S is something else entirely!

Well shock horror! 25 mile round trip, time off work and they refused to swap it. The guy even had the cheek to ask me "why is it you want two different networks anyway" - well thats not really any of your business!

I paid for sim free and he assured me it was unlocked just like the Galaxy S3.

CPW head office email now perhaps but I'm stumped.

Why are you in a rush to change it, especially if you like it (as I know you do)?

Are you unable to do something you want on it?

I meant important things, you must like something about it, seeing as how you bought another one right after having the S3... :p

I don't know what to suggest really, CPW are a load of hopeless baboons, the people they employ are generally thick and don't know anything about phones.
