Help with New Car

It really doesnt matter anymore, i asked for help and its people telling me i am wrong, which in most cases i am, but with help you normally get an alternative

if your considering golfs. look at ford focus or vauxhall astras as you generally get a newer one compared to the equivalent golf.

also how much are you looking to spend

You've had people reccomend cars in the sort of size young people normally want - which is the same length but not as tall as your Meriva, namely the Fiesta but the Clio reccomendation wasnt a bad one either

You then said you thought a Golf would be OK, but despite being considerably larger than the Meriva, I would reccomend a Focus over a Golf.

Why are you having such a hissyfit?

I have had three alternatives, a clio, fiesta and a seat
thank you to those who have helped, but the majority of people are just told me that i am wrong, which i dont want an email every two seconds telling me

If you ask me he's just trying not to say he thinks the Meriva is ugly as sin and an old lady car. But, you're really not helping yourself with the replies you're giving Mr.Cox. Fun read :)

Nobody has said you're wrong, people have just tried to explain that the size issue with the Meriva is one of perception rather than actual size.

Seriously, take a deep breath and calm down

Sounds like the problem here is with the image of the car. If I was 18 (I'm guessing that's how old the OP is) I'm not sure I'd have wanted to drive a Meriva.

I've never had the (mis)fortune to drive one, but perhaps it appears disproportionate while driving from the driver seat? That's the only thing I can think of, it certainly isn't a long car by any stretch of the imagination. Taller than a Fiesta/Clio/Corsa yes, but not sure how it can be perceived as long.
