Here we go again - Clattenburg accused of racism

I think that something needs to be done against Chelsea or the player(s) involved, otherwise what's to stop an accusation "in good faith" happening every week? There has to be some sort of deterrant against baseless accusations.

If some sort of evidence comes to light to prove that it was some sort of misunderstanding then fair enough. If there is just absolutely no evidence at all though then there should be some sort of punishment. Suspend the player for a few games for unsportsmanlike behaviour and fine the club heavily or something along those lines.

I agree, I've debated this to death already.

Chelsea and the player should face charges of bringing the game in to disrepute.

There needs to be a clear message sent out, just because a team or club have felt that decisions have gone against them there is absolutely no tolerance of false claims made against either rival clubs or officials with the aim of discrediting them or tarnishing their reputation.

Chelsea have a history of making false claims against individuals.

I would hope the FA do something about this but given the statement from them cannot see it happening, they normally have a very low tolerance of criticism of the referee's and officials.

I think bans and points deductions are the only language that players and clubs will understand.

That's just my two cents, it's nothing against Chelsea as a club, they just happened to once again do something I disagree with, I also disagree with the lack of movement from the FA.

I'm sure Chelsea fans and others will disagree with me as per.

WTF, if the people who are actually involved in delicate situations come to amicable solutions how are the tossbags who need dramas going to cope?:mad: :(http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8290549/

I just don't see how it's possible for Chelsea to "regret" how they handled something without apologising to the individual concerned. It's a total cop out because they know they will open themselves up to some well deserved legal action if they did so.

How do you know representatives of the club didn't apologise during the private meeting? It's nothing to do with the press or public.

Has Clattenburg publicly apologised for his **** refereeing?

The allegations against Clattenburg were nothing to do with the press or public either but Chelsea didn't hesitate to publish those.

It was the daily mail journalist that tweeted about it and published the claims of racism, Chelsea only released a statement afterwards and it gave no details, they did as well as they could after the twitter news. It was the **** from black lawyers that complained to the police and went on his little crusade. No matter what the club did here they would've been damned by all the haters, it was a no win situation. If not for the **** poor behaviour of John Terry I doubt there would've been anything like the reaction, and if anything I think Clattenburg would've been the one getting all the flak from fans and press.

Ramires adamant that Clattenburg made a racist remark to Mikel.

Isnt this the guy who cant speak a word of english and relies on Luiz to do the translating in the dressing room??. Something i read a while back so if thats the case. then how is it he could both understand the word monkey and the context that its used in:confused:

Methinks Chelsea need to have a word with Ramires and tell him to let it go;).

Didn't see this posted on here yet. John Mikel Obi banned for 3 matches and fined £60k for threatening Clattenburg.

Thought this bit was interesting:

The FA accepted the player had believed the referee had racially abused him.

"But for that factor the suspension would have been significantly longer," the FA said in a statement.
Slightly strange logic. So all a player has to do now if they want their sentence for threatening a referee to be watered down a touch is to say "well, I was absolutely certain he was racist towards me!"....
