Here we go again - Clattenburg accused of racism

Watch the video of him getting the yellow card after the goal, well it doesn't look like he has just been racially abused. If he said something, what with all the outrage with the Terry incident, surely he would have gone mental!?

Looks to me like they are just trying to get their own back on the ref by coming out with utter dross.

Was talking to a fellow OcUKer on MSN last night and we both agreed that if Chelsea have made this up to get revenge on Clattenburg then Chelsea surely deserve to be charged with bringing the game into disrepute or something like that?

Despite being a Utd fan I'm still 50/50 on the Torres sending off. I think Torres could easily have been sent off for his Cleverley challenge and I thought Evans was going to get booked for the Torres clash. I don't think Clattenburg had a good game last night but if Chelsea are trying to get their own back on him for his poor performance then they really do deserve whatever the FA can throw at them. But then it's the FA so it'll be nothing more than a slap on the wrist and a "Don't do that again, OK?". :rolleyes:

Ah yes. Thanks. And I agree. Mikel doesn't react as if he's been racially abused. It looks more as if he's just angry at the goal being given and is giving the ref more abuse than he now claims he got from the ref.

Of course I've no idea what if anything at all has been said but to think that Chelsea have simply fabricated the issue to get back at Clattenburg is pathetic beyond all belief.
Anyone who heard Bruce Buck & Ron Gourlay on radio the other day will be know that they are totally aware of the bad press Chelsea have had recently and are obviously very concerned about it, to think that they'd sanction something like that is just, well, dumb really :/

Oh yes.

Liverpool committed PR suicide over their devout backing of Suarez to hanging him to dry and even our ballbag of a MD feeling he had to make an extra statement slugging him I dont see why Chelsea couldn't. Also don't know who those guys are but the players could easily organise it themselves

The board didn't even back Mourinho when he spazzed out over Frisk, they simply wouldn't sanction this complaint unless they thought it was genuine.
It's far too big an issue.

I think is going to wind up being very embarrassing for Chelsea and they could well end up stealing the being the laughing stock of the prem from the scousers if you are not careful.

What about the time Terry accused Poll of making up reasons to send him off in '06?

Terry was fined 10'000 pounds by the FA over this and Chelsea with drew the allegations.

The ref actually racially abusing Mikel or Mikel using the "racist card" against the ref just to target him.

I agree and I don't think there's going to be any way of proving anything was said or not so fully expect no charges to be brought against Clattenburg.

That had nothing at all to do with Chelsea and there weren't any allegations made by them, it was just from interview with Terry, keep googling.
Players saying things and a club making an official complaint are vastly different.

I think given all the stuff that has gone on Suarez and Evra, Anton & Terry, Rio & Cole, I really don't think Chelsea or Mikel would make this up. Nor do I think Battenburg would be as naive to call someone a Spanish **** or refer to Mikel as a Monkey with obvious racist intentions.

Maybe he did say something that was misheard ???

If not then the it shows the world of football has gone bonkers it really has
