Hereditary

Genuinely freaked me out ,ending was excellent, very disturbing. Reminded me of Kill List. Worth reading the Directors notes on what you may have missed in the plot .... ( after watching the film.)

Can see how these sort of horror films can be very marmite and divisive. I hate watching them and buy into them quite easily, so it's more of a ride for me.

If you're watching at home , then any horror film should be watched at night, sound up, curtains drawn, lights down, no talking.

You know what scene shocked me the most in this film? Hearing Gabriel Byrne utter the line "What language even is that?". It's nonsense! Do they not have proof readers to go over the script and find **** like that?

I've seen some rubbish in my time but this was a absolute garbage. Me and the missus love our horror flicks but this was a mess and a waste of the legend that is Gabriel Byrne.

On a quasi-related note, on the basis that this is such a marmite film, if you fancy watching something that’s really scary / stressful.. try playing the video game Resident Evil 7. My girlfriend and I watch horror films all the time and very few things faze us and I’ve played loads of ‘scary’ video games (including all prior RE games) but RE7 is so intensely stressful my girlfriend can’t even be in the room when I play it... and I can only deal with it in short hour long bursts before I need to decompress.

Really, really frightening

^ is that the latest one set in a house inhabited by some weird family? I could barely handle the demo!

I bought the PSVR FOR Res Evil VII. I did get some motion sickness, however, the cabin in the woods part in VR caused me to pack up the VR kit and put it on Ebay - i noped the **** out of there.

That’s the one!

I don’t think I could actually play it in VR. Too much.

The manliest of men! :D
Yeah forget that :o I could barely handle the demo...walking around on the ground floor of the house and I could hear heavy footsteps in the floor above!
