Heroes of the Storm

Good games tonight with Booyaka and Blame.

I've never been a huge support player but I do enjoy Uther, the stun is great. Gets manic though trying find who heal in a big team fight.
 
Also just tried the new map, really nice and bigger than i thought. 2 lanes with a central fighting area. It's either going to be fun or frustrating and lots of team fights.

Also like that they now add damage taken for warriors so people can see how much you are tanking.

Oh and 750 gold for heroes that are level 9, also retroactively granted. So that means another 8250 gold for me! Will have enough for 3 master skins.

So I broke through the 50-40 barrier on hero league, and now the games feel a lot easier. Went on a 6 win streak to 34. The MMR at the 'noob ranks' must be really strange. I would either steamroll the game or get dominated. Rarely a close game.

Seems they're limiting the maps available during the Heaven event. Mines/Blackhearts/Garden will be unavailable for play outside of custom games. Pretty lame really. I like two of those.

Yeah I'm surprised they're cutting maps out, especially since I like Garden Terror and Blackhearts Bay. They can remove the Mines map out the game all together for me, can't be doing with it.

The idea is to get you playing the new map more, surely they could just make it's selection a higher percentage than the rest.
 
Hmmm - played new map twice this morning. Not convinced on first try. It just turns into one massive pile up in the middle every time they boss's spawn.
 
The health on the immortals seems pretty low. A team of 5 was killing the immortal (the push version, not the objective) in seconds. Compare that to a golem on mines which takes 5 people a minute to kill (when high skulls)

Think they are still tweaking the health I guess.
 
From what I can make out the shield it has depends on how much damage it took when in the centre. Less damage taken more shield. Then when it's shield disappears it goes into melee mode where as before it was ranged.

I also imagine it will scale with game time.

Yeah that map is a total mess unless you're with a team you know.

You either both battle for mine control or take the advantage up to with 3 people while 2 others agro down below to make it a chore

which i prefer you can get to the core in the first wave of mines if you with a team
 
I only played a custom game quickly against AI. How does it compare to say something like Cursed Hollow? I'm guessing similar due to the central theme.

I imagine after this first week once everyone has calmed down and seen what happens when you capture it, it will be a case of 2 or 3 grabbing while other 2 lane push.
 
just played my first game, picked the panda healer lui lui (I think) and I got my ass handed to me. think I will try a DPS class next time.

Was this Quick Match? The quality of your team mates and opponents can be a bit of a lottery. Play a few more games and see how you get on. It is a bit of an adjustment from playing against bots.
 
I found pro toss and mending serpent good talents with lili in qm, the range allows you to hang back and keep the healing going.
