So a group of passengers on finding oout thier flight was being used to forcibly deport a man from the UK staged a revolt and prevented the plane taking off.

The man yelled and told the passengers flying to Istanbul he was being separated from his family and that he might be killed when he was taken to Mogadishu.

When officials gave up and removed him from the plane the heroic passengers cheered and chanted "you're free" while filming on thier phones.

Awkwardly though the 29 year old man was being deported as had finished his prison for sentence gang raping a 16 year old girl in london with his fellow gang members (one of whom died in Syria fighting for isis).

Will the passengers all be being charged same as if they did this on a normal flight I wonder.

I do not understand why we put people like this onto commercial air liners anyway.

We should just wait until we have a plane-full and then use a military transport, Con-Air style.

:(

It's ridiculous how people think that they are above the legal system. Surely they should be found guilty of contempt of court or the like.

Also, this whole silly scenario could have been avoided if the officers had just told them he was a convicted gang rapist. So much for the data protection act.

Haha could you imagine the look on the face of the shouty one after being told that. "Ohh err well .." curious if they'd cave or stick with jt

This irritates me, regardless of whether the person was good or bad. As very likely they'll just be stuck on the next plane and maybe a bit more incognito or more of an attempt to isolate them from other passengers this time...

I'm waiting for the "gang rapist flew out on first class ticket" outrage

I really want to see some follow up interviews with the passengers lol

They need to find the guy filming this and interview him, publically humiliate him and ask him why he thinks he knew better than the British Home office?

I'm simultaneously sick of the internet and social media and in love with all it can provide.

Aren't people unhappy with these sort of threads in general chat? :p

The people on the plane didn't have the facts, so they went off their emotions. Which is of course stupid.

I agree, the passengers all need fully outed on social media, their story spread and it going viral, give them a tag and name, and run interviews with them all explaining why they saved a rapist from deportation.
Make it go viral, it'll prevent idiocy from occurring again.

Some people did this in Sweden and the guy they were trying to deport had actually been convicted of raping his family...
