So whats the score with Integra DC5s that have HIDs and non projector lenses standard?

Got some Nightbreakers, funnily enough they seemed to at least equal or better the HID kit. Which did surprise me. The HID's do look a lot better though but I wanted a kit for performance more than anything. Looks like I'm staying with halogens for the time being.

I know I think people have jumped onto "OMG no projector.....instant blindness, you baaaad". I think they serve a purpose, but Jap cars have done without them for long time, even Mercs, Renault Meganes & Volvos started off with Xenons without them when the technology was fairly new

My honda s2000 is a W plate.... so thats what, 2000?

That has some of the best Xenon HID whatever the hell they are lights in it that ive ever seen, beam cut off is razor sharp... those incidentally are projectors

The reflectors are designed for how an HID bulb works, rather than how a halogen bulb works - so it'd be just as bad if you were to fit a halogen bulb into an HID reflector as fitting HIDs into a halogen reflector.

Come to mention it, every Volvo i've seen with Xenons hasn't startled me at all.

As far as I can see my halogen Z4 lenses (with projector) are exactly the same as those with xenons.

Saw a Honda Blackbird being ridden in London with Xenons fitted on dipped and main beam, that was blinding!

I have to say there are some right "legal eagles" on here, not to mention huge exagerations on the matter. I mean come on, someone earlier was talking about blinding people for life? WTF?
The issue I have with people that say aftermarket kits are and always will be dangerous and provide too much glare, is that there are so many OEM HID lights in operation on cars that still provide as much if not more glare than aftermarket kits. It's not a biggie though, slightly distracting if anything when in your rear view mirror, but certainly not "disabling" as some people keep saying. Are you using the term "disabling" as if to say the light is so bad as to actually cause a human to become "disabled" i.e. unable to move and function or something?

Personally if I'm driving along and I see a car with too bright lights coming towards me, I do something outrageous...I drive past and carry on with my journey saving my tears for something worth crying about.

I looked directly at both the HID and Halogen yesterday. The halogen was a lot more blinding than the HID.

I have HIDs, they are fine and dandy when set up well. If they aren't they can be blinding. The lenses need to be kept clean and the washer jets tend to not clean them in bad weather or with salt on the road. If they are set up badly, then they won't pass an MoT on beam pattern and beam scatter. That isn't good!
