HID upgrade kits

I used to have some in my car and I believe that they are fine if you aren't a knob about it.

I fitted mine, set the levelling to the lowest and did some tests with friends. From driving past each other to standing on the other side of the road. They said they did not glare them and so they remained. I never got pulled for them although I was pulled for allegedly speeding twice at night, and whilst the coppers did a walk round, nothing was said.

Not doubting the legality of it but I wasn't hurting anyone. If they did glare then I wouldn't have used them and sold them on.

I don't have them on anymore as one of the bulbs went and the supplier I got them from emigrated and ceased business here.

Unless the car has an OEM HID option from the factory a projector kit for a reflector fitted car will mean replacing the headlights with aftermarket ones. These are often poor quality and look dire.

What they could do is just... use decent Halogen bulbs. Thats what I did, I wanted HID's in the Mondeo, it only had reflectors, I accepted the fact I couldnt have HID's and went for some really decent Halogens instead.

That does sound like a reasonable point of view it must be said.

I hate people who have dodgy HID setups (not to say they are all like that) they blind you during the day let alone the night.

They're Bi-Xennon wannabies :D /Snob
