High Heels

After overcoming the distraction of female members posting in this thread (why are there no female avatars? nice boots btw ladies), I'll admit to high heels being one of my quirks too. I personally prefer over 3" height, rounded toe, no more than knee high if their boots, and I absolutely detest platforms, ladies wearing them always look so off-balance.

I do understand the complications that can arise from wearing high heels all the time though, just search "high heel foot training" and you should get a few results explaning about the shortening of tendons etc.

Anyone else also like those ballet heels?

Yeah high heels are a quirk for me too, to the point where is really effects the attractiveness of a female for me. There's a lovely young receptionist where i work and she swaps between wearing heels one day to flats another, pretty much 50/50. In flats she’s a typical pretty girl you'd see all over London town. But in heels she's a total goddess and i simply cannot take my eyes off her! I can't explain it.

It can make a huge difference sometimes and can make a girl that i barely noticed before into a babe that i can't stop looking at!

+1

a pet peeve of mine is drunk girls in high heels.. Especially if they're carrying them because they're too uncomfortable to wear. WTF? buy some comfy shoes!!

Business women in shoes too.. grrr.. And when you're walking along and they're behind you going CLAP CLAP CLAP, its so annoying.

Agreed, my mum wears heels all the time so whenever I hear a girl walking in heels they just remind me of her. Not exactly a sexy association to make.

High heels don't force a correct posture at all. They force an unnatural foot position, and they do this quite brutally.

The pain is a clue.

What pain??...every woman i hav dated who have worn heels have never ever complained of pain...it all boils down to if you wear proper fitting ones;)...if you buy a pair of heels and they dont fit then of course they will hurt:rolleyes:...its a bit like buying trainers that dont fit ie are too small or too big.

LOL.

Ask yourself why so many women take of their high heels towards the end of an evening. It's because their feet are being forced into a totally unnatural position, which is damaging and painful over time. The toes are bent and tightly compressed, while the foot is sharply elevated. It's like a modern version of Chinese foot-binding.

High-heeled shoes slant the foot forward and down while bending the toes up. The more that the feet are forced into this position, the more it may cause the Achilles tendon to shorten. This may cause problems when the wearer chooses lower heels or flat-soled shoes.

When the foot slants forward, a much greater weight is transferred to the ball of the foot and the toes, increasing the likelihood of damage to the underlying soft tissue which supports the foot. In many shoes, style dictates function, either compressing the toes, or forcing them together, possibly resulting in blisters, corns, hammer toes, bunions (hallux valgus), Morton's neuroma and many other medical conditions, most of which are permanent, and will require surgery to alleviate the pain.

High heels—because they tip the foot forward—put pressure on the lower back through making the rump push outwards and crushing the lower back vertebrae and contracting the muscles of the lower back.

(Wiki).

High heels are also good if you are short like me, I wear heels a lot during the day. If I wear flats people suddenly seem to notice how short I am! As much as I love my heels though they have to be comfortable, if they aren't comfortable enough to be worn all day then they don't get bought. I do love my thigh highs but they aren't for outdoor wear :p

Will you marry me?
