Take out handhelds and last gen hardware and the console war looks balanced. From an exclusives point of view, further proof on the Wii+(360 or PS3) strategy to console ownership.

*WiiWare was included because while it could be argued its last gen, its distribution system is this gen and likewise with the Wii, it could be argued that its last gen hardware but I've included it. I'll acknowledge theres criticism on this.

Interesting to see PS3 dominating the top 5!

Best year for PS3 by far and unfortunately a week year for Wii. 360 seems to be very consistent, good games in all years.

Their censoring of a buttload of user content is bloody criminal.

It's quite the opposite actually, censoring levels to remove any risk of copyright infringement is actually very law abiding.

I still can't believe that LBP is selling at an average level, it's bloody criminal.

I always knew it wouldn't sell well, a complete lack of guns = a complete lack of interest from a huge portion of the gaming world (mostly americans)

And originally it was a Dreamcast game iirc then GC.

My friend with the PS3 sig, it's an opinion. MGS4 is a masterpiece but there are several games better than it this year in the eyes of many many people.

Chrono Trigger should be number 1 imo.

I was left so disappointed after the ending of GTA4 very poor.
