Hijack | Apple TV+

Since watching Hijack I have gone back and re-watched "Non-Stop", "7700" "and Air Force One", all unrealistic in their own ways, but still more realistic than Hijack :D . Can anyone else recommend a film that is plane based (non comedy) to watch while I wait for the Hijack finale? I might watch "Flight Plan" again, can't find "Passenger 57" anywhere, which is also great.

Dont forget Executive Decision.

TV Movie - didn't bother in the end!
Watched it this week - as good as ever - more realistic than HiJack until they crash in Vegas :D
Passenger 57 is on apple/google/youtube/sky and amazon for £3.49 to rent, 'always bet on black'.
Watched it this week - not as good as I remember.
If you are really desperate there is Into the Night
Been tempted many times, but can't be bothered with the subtitles!
Air Force One - what a film. Where's my family!?
Seen
Not that desperate!
Watched Red Eye recently - very good.
Bllod Red Sky - Been tempted many times, but can't be bothered with the subtitles!
see above
Dont forget Executive Decision.

I totally forgot about this movie.I think I will make this the last one I watch before the Hijack finale this week.

Also watched united 93, obviously the most realistic of all of the above due to being based on real events.

The way Idris's character demands answers from the hijackers just doesn't work - if they'd spent the time to make that more convincing the show would have been so much better on that merit alone :(

Though I'm far from an expert some stuff just stuck out badly to me related to the aircraft which someone who was an actual expert could have pointed out and there are fairly easy ways to be creative with, for example reversers often make marginal difference to the actual landing distance on these jets and are more used to reduce wear/tear and for smoother safer landing - if you don't care about passenger comfort it is feasible to stop these medium jets in about 5000 feet without engines or at worse you've lost most of the speed by the overrun point making for a hard but generally not devastating landing - even a clumsy landing without engines isn't going to tear the plane apart like depicted.

Not the worst last episode. Still a very odd script in many places.

There is no way it didn't have enough fuel, even after the small deviation.

I feel like the last bit between Sam and the lead hijacker was unnecessary.

Also, I didn't really understand the released prisoners. If they wanted the plane to crash, or were just going to leave it to crash, why close the deal before hand? The one guy seemed to be telling the one he killed to send the text to the lady hijacker not to crash the plane and get going. But then they mention the plane crashing. Then he kills him, doesn't text the lady hijacker and drives off.

Why not make the trade when the plane crashes? Very odd.

I'd probably give it a 5/10 overall. It was suspenseful enough to keep me seeing how it ended. With a more solid script/writing team it could have been a lot better.

The idea was decent but far too much stuff which when you thought about it had me going "but... but... but..." or just didn't add anything.

Even simple things like the cockpit conveniently happening to be vacated and door open at the moment the women who was supposed to crash the plane was text NOW

I have the ending to watch tonight, so far I feel it's good but predictable, kinda a bit channel 5 tho
Lol channel 5 - theres one thing with these Apple shows is that the production is always good, else they wouldn’t get all the A listers that Netflix could only dream about..

Agreed but it is a bit predictable unless something happens in this final episode. I mean the following car thing...too easy.

Some superb apple stuff though even the kids stuff is great, "Lucky" for example is amazing

Just watched all 7 eps over a period of 36 hours :D

I was a bit surprised to see all the negative comments on here. Sure it has its flaws but putting aside all the silly politics and unrealistic procedures, I found it entertaining and had me hooked to keep watching the next ep to find out what happens.

Pretty meh and unless I missed something ...
The mother who shot the pilot; surely her daughter would have also been kidnapped or held hostage and shot? Yet, she called her up after landing.
I'll assume the security female plus family plus ATC guy killed back in Dubai were related to guy who smuggled the guns?
The second villain released from prison, who shot the main wrongun, escaped?
