Hijack | Apple TV+

Just watched all 7 eps over a period of 36 hours :D

I was a bit surprised to see all the negative comments on here. Sure it has its flaws but putting aside all the silly politics and unrealistic procedures, I found it entertaining and had me hooked to keep watching the next ep to find out what happens.
You have to laugh at the fun police who get so frothy about plot holes in what is ultimately a ridiculous premise popcorn TV show.

Like the idiots every time a Star Wars film comes out and they pick holes in it - it's a kids film about Cowboys and Indians in space.

Hijack is one of the only series I haven't picked my phone up while it's been on, yes a fishing net full of holes but loved it.

?

But this isn't science fiction or fantasy is it?

It was supposed to be a drama based in reality. It was very badly written in many ways.

It really doesn't matter if its supposed to be fantasy or drama or whatever - any TV show (and movie) is made for entertainment purposes. If it entertains me then it's served is purpose, successfully. If you want reality then go on YT and watch videos from Mentour Pilot, and find out all the details about what causes planes to crash, with all the real life technicalities (great channel tbh).

This has a rating of 7.7 on IMDB which as far as ratings go is pretty decent. Even the review on there says the same thing, forget the details and enjoy the ride.

Poor writing does matter...

Loved it. Hope they can make it in to a new series where Sam gets into different scrapes and uses his psychology skills to get out of it.

Have to say never been a fan of Luther.

Maybe he's going to depsit some money at the bank and it gets held up or something

How can the same *** happen to James Bond or Ethan Hunt etc
Well TBF that comes with the territory of being a spy..

Maybe he could be at an airport waiting for his newly reunited wife to fly in and unwittingly stumbles on some terrorists taking over the airport from a nearby church..

I really enjoyed it, only started watching it on the off chance a couple of weeks ago.
Something a bit different for a change as opposed to superhero stuff, finished Twisted Metal this week too, now got season 3 of Warrior to work my way through next, then I will be onto Special Op's:Lioness.

Cheers all

Nope, not enjoyable some types of shows you can forgive potholes others have at it, bit of let down for me this one 6/10

The million-dollar question. Are we going to see Sam Nelson return for a second season?

Oh, gosh, I wish I could tell you that. I hope so but we’ll have to see.

When Variety spoke to Idris Elba about a second season a few months ago, his main concern was how to bring Sam back in an authentic way. Have you started discussing that yet?

I mean, we’ve thought about it, obviously. And that is really challenging. It is something that you’re like, “Wow, how would you do that and it not be completely ridiculous?” We talk about it — but yeah, we’ll have to wait and see. I’m never gonna say no.
