Hirsch mapped my Saab 9-3 but a slight issue....

You must have some of Fox's 'magic glass' as well because I've lost count of the times, after a local shower, I've driven to the local shops in various saloons, not exceeded 35mph, and the rear screen is still full of beads of water.

What do you do when you drive a vehicle with no rear window? Do you instantly crash it?

I think MarkDavis is being completely accurate in his description of sedan rear screens here; the disconnect is between perceptions of what's 'OK'. If there's a shower and you drive at 35 mph to the shops the rear screen will be covered. However, you can still see through it, and it's not particularly dirty, so it's liveable. MarkDavis obviously prefers a cleaner screen so wants a rear wiper. I don't see the issue.
Me neither. Each to their own.

Mark, why not clean the rear screen with some Gtechniq G4 polish and then put some Gtechniq G1 ClearVision on to shed water off your screen more quickly?

More than happy to give that a go. G4 polish first, then G1 ClearVision?

Would you say its better than RainX (which I thought was okay, but it wears out really quick).

I used G3 on mine and it lasts about 2 months. G1 is supposed to be harder wearing so should last a fair bit longer. (though its slightly less water repellent)

I've got a rear wiper on my 900, which i use a lot in the rain whilst travelling at 30 or less as the rear window ends up covered. G3 has reduced the need to do this, plus the screen seems to self clear above 30. (i'm lucky enough to have a hatch that doesn't cover the back end with filth)

Much better than RainX.

Do a search as i'm sure i found out about it from a thread in Motors. You can buy a kit with both (just get the 100ml G1 bottle and you can do front and back screens and probably have enough for the sides too).
