Hitman 3

Really enjoying this now and the screen space reflections and lighting really do make the otherwise average graphics look really good!

The missions have so much replay value that having gone back to Hitman 1 I haven’t got further than the second mission (World of Tomorrow).

This is really what the James Bond 007 games should have been. I have seen IO are involved in the next bond game so .....

Ive got 1 and 2 on Steam so was going to wait but read a few posts back you can import stuff? I assume I would first have to install 1 and 2? I shall google.

Anyway I did download the "demo" as I was not going to pay for it on Epic only to not be able to import the other games on Steam. Did the first mission and uninstalled because it gives no score or anything as thats all online haha.

Just completed it must be the shortest game I've played in ages. Certainly not worth the £40 or so price tag. I've played nearly every Hitman game right back to the first one and I mean the really old ones not Hitman (1)

To be honest I dont think there is much difference between 1,2 and 3 and I actually preferred Hitman 2.

Well yeah, you can 'complete' it in 90 mins, if your idea of completion is to finish each mission once.

I've played it for 46 hours and feel like I've actually completed it.

Indeed, saying the Hitman games are "very short" is like saying chess is very short because you won once. The beauty in the Hitman games is finding the different and obscure ways of taking out a target.

I coud concevably "win" a mission in less than a minute if I run direct to a target, shoot them and make a b-line straght for an exit. One of the missions even gives you that very opportunity as you start within shooting distance of your target right after the mission loads. I did it in just over 1 minute on that particular mission.

Its not just that Hitman 2 some of the missions you can spend a lot longer on it. The biker nightclub level for instance in Hitman 3 there seemed to be a limited number of ways of killing the agents and most didnt work I wandered round for ages looking for different ways to kill them in the end I just went Rambo and shot them then escaped. The one with the baseball cap for instance had like one or two different ways nearby to kill him but when you setup the kill he never went anywhere near them so just ended up shooting him from distance and walking away.

Match that with the one from Hitman 2 I think the one where you are outside the villa and there is the cyclist next to the flower van. Must have killed him or knocked him out about 4/5 different ways just to steal his clothes or get the flowers to let you deliver to the villa. Likewise the construction site level was massive and loads more interesting than the missions in Hitman 3.

Hitman 3 there is only so many ways you can throw an apple or can of soda at someone. Its like its not moved on just more of the same in smaller levels.

The only one that gave me satisfaction was the party level at the end managed to utilise different ways then.

What I`m saying is on Hitman 2 I spent a helluva lot more time finding different ways but on Hitman 3 it just wasnt as inspiring. There was nothing new. When you've spent hours and hours doing different ways on Hitman 2 they just didnt do enough with Hitman 3 for me.

I do think Hitman 2 was the pinnacle of the three games

Sometimes in Hitman 3 it felt like they made things a bit too easy/simple for you.

The Mansion/Dartmoor level was a piece of **** for instance, but the whodunnit was unique.

Completely agree. Although during the gathering in the study (watching from above) I shot the target and legged it through an open window.

What I found disappointing was in the Dubai mission you could drop the chandelier on one of the targets killing them but during the gathering you couldnt do the same ?! At one point I was just pelting them with apples, ornaments, soap, cans of drink (what is it about Hitman 3 cans of drink are everywhere !) etc just to watch the reaction which was quiet funny :)

Some of the levels lend themselves to multiple play through imo. I went from the first level of 3 to the start of Hitman 1 (and it was a smooth transition), the Paris showstopper level could have been the next level of Hitman 3.

I found Showstopper and World of Tomorrow great and did multiple play throughs but despite going to Marrakech three times in real life the Morocco level is a bit boring, perhaps because it’s so far removed from reality.

Can I redeem Steam versions of Hitman into the Epic version of Hitman 3? I don't have those games yet but CDKeys show the steam versions to be so much cheaper.

Yes you can redeem your Steam versions.
Launch your steam version of Hitman 1 or 2, which ever is the latest you own.
Create or log into an IOI account, from within the game, which registers which games you own, with ioi servers.

Then find the transfer link, on the ioi website, requires you to log into your ioi account, and transfer your steam games, access rights to hitman 3.
Launch Hitman3 from your Epic Games Account, and log into your ioi account.
Restart Hitman3 and enjoy your access to the levels. :D

I've bought Hitman 3 and new to the series. Been trying to get mastery on the Dubai level before moving on.
I'm tempted to get hitman 1 and 2. Are the remaster updates decent?? For example are the animations and graphics comparable? Are they janky and outdated?
Would it be worth it?

Hitman 2 game wise is better than Hitman 3 and I dont see much difference graphics wise between the two. I would say arguably Hitman 2 has better looking levels.

I played Hitman 3 Dubai level and was impressed with the gameplay so bought Hitman 1 and 2 which haven’t disappointed gameplay wise. Graphically they look similar to 3 so not that great but it’s very light on the gpu so can’t complain.
