I think you can do better with some tweaking. Get your cpu clocked up to 4.8ghz and experiment with your clocks. I think there is perhaps more to be gained from your setup. Maybe try moving the memory up in 50-100mhz tweaks until you find that point at which performance drops.

Well tbh since i updated my BIOS before xmas i lost my 5GHz overclock profile and didnt bother to set it up again. I'll set that back up when i get time then give this another run.

I should be able to pull off 1250 core on my 7950.. I ran 1225 earlier and it seemed to run ok except for the memory clock throttling.

Your score looks a bit low. Ours should be similar. Mine will be ahead because of my 5ghz cpu but even so you should be higher than that. Did you have +50% set in powertune and have ULPS disabled?

Just speaking with shanks via email.

Difference in our systems are

CPU - 4.4ghz vs 5ghz
Memory 1600mhz vs 2133mhz 9-10-10-21-1T with tight seconds and thirds
MOBO x16 x8 vs x16 x16

I expect the cpu plays the most part, closely followed by the ram and lastly the pci-e lanes. Either way, quite a big difference between our scores whilst using the same driver. :confused:

Wouldn't worry too much. I get around the same clocks as you anyway. Trouble is, the 2600k on that rig will only go to 4.6...
