HM The Queen

a or b.

HM has graced the throne with dignity for nearly 60 years and love her or not she is a fantastic advert for the UK.

Nobody puts on a show like her or her troops do when it comes to entertaining dignitaries and here's hoping that Victoria's reign is surpassed in 2016.

Agree completely. A) for me without doubt.

The history of our royal family (bad or good) is part of what got us to where we are now (bad or good) not to mention being part of the culture of the country.

I love having a royal family. It would be an honour to meet any of the main ones.

C) Though I would be respectful, and obviously interested. However, it wouldn't really bother me much.

I don't *hate* the royal family, but I don't believe anyone is born in the world superior or more deserving than anyone else. It can't be easy being a young Monarch (I mean this towards William & Harry) as you don't have a choice of being born into the family. I'm very much a non royal - but I'd always respect the traditions and the behaviours one should follow.
Exactly this.

Would be C for me...im not a huge fan of them but then on the other hand i dont mind them and the Queen seems to be a nice old lady in all honesty.

:D

I'm not THAT much of a revolutionary ;) Though I am definitely a fan of a democratically elected head of state rather than have someone "born" to it as a privelege. :)

I dare you to boot polish your face black, then record what prince Philip has to say about the matter....the mans a legend.

My answer would be C i suspect.

Just showed her arriving by helicopter on the news. The locals looked very happy. Didn't see tres waving.

(My answer was B for my question by the way)

It was really nice to be part of the day - the main "green" of the village was fenced off, a few thousand people standing behind barriers. I was one of the 20 or so on the green, lined up to meet her - along with the other emergency services.

First met the Duke of Edinburgh - which was comedy. The stuff he comes out with is brilliant - critisicing my ambulance buddy for the slightly paler green of his uniform ("Well it looks silly, it looks like you've been in the sun too long and faded"), and also when the ambulance phone went off mid-conversation. "Is that someone dying, or just your girlfriend").

Then the queen came along, asked what we do, shook our hands etc

All in all, was great to be a part of the day and see our superb monarch up close
