Hogmanay / New Years Plans 2024

What are folks plans for tonight then? Usually just do my local pub in Edinburgh but I think they'll all be heaving with tourists now the Street Party / Fireworks, etc has all been cancelled.
 
Taking my 7 and 9 year old to a friend's house, we're all staying over. Not particularly looking forward to it but nothing ventured...
 
I'll be wasting time on the pc a little later than usual as I'd just get woken up by fireworks anyway, may as well see some of them out the window.

sitting in front of the tv most likely, watch some more squid games 2.
Probably clean the washing machine, dishwasher and charge the car as it looks like the electric will be -ve overnight so might as well make a few quid at the same time.
 
Sitting at home with music/TV loud enough that hopefully the dogs aren't too bothered by the fireworks that'll inevitably be set off almost directly overhead.
 
Can't be bothered with NYE these days, i'm over 50 and did all the going out and getting crushed/ripped off in my 20's..

As others have said, i'll just go to bed at my usual time, 11.30-12 anyway.. but not bothered about the "oo it's 2025 thing.. "

Yep this is me too. Got mates nagging me to go out but I’m back in work on Thursday and the last thing I want tomorrow is a stinking hangover on top of the dread of the daily grind starting again. Add a possible two day hangover to that as well - no thanks.
