***Hogwarts Legacy - RPG***

Hows performance been for you @montymint?

Didn't get much played at all last night but for a laugh I put everything inc RT to ultra.

Set vsync to 75hz as I don't think the game benefits from higher fps.

Frames went from 30-75 throughout the start, but settled in common rooms about 57ish fps iirc.

Will turn RT off most likely to keep things smooth.

what gpu cpu and res you running?

5800x, 3090 and 3440x1440p here

Going to turn RT off as the opening 45mins lulled me into a false sense of performance haha was getting a nice steady 80-90 on full Ultra everything!
Not a major loss imo, I turned my RT off not because of performance but because I dont feel RT has been implemented well on it and the game actually looks better without it I reckon.

Looking at specs published in this thread I'm at least happy to see that ultra settings should be possible with my rig - unsure about the possibility of RT though.

12700k @ Stock
3080 @ 1920/9800
3440x1440 resolution

Will report back Friday.

My performance is absolutely all over the place. 3700X, 3070, 16GB RAM running on High settings, DLSS set to performance at 3440x1400

It can be anywhere from 15 - 100FPS. Its mostly a stable 60 but then for no discernible reason just dips wildly - cutscenes seem to be the worst culprits for this but it does it in the open world too. Tried tweaking some settings but honestly didn't notice any difference at all no matter what I did. Very odd and frustrating.

Exactly the same as what i'm experiencing, most of the time its 120+fps but for no reason it just tanks to sub 20fps for 5-10 seconds then goes back to 120+, pretty much makes it unplayable right now.

Some of the issues that people are experiencing might be fixed in the day 1 patch on Friday, apparently it includes :

  • Fixes to game crashing issues.
  • Address the stuttering and lag issues.
  • Add gameplay adjustments and optimizations.
  • Add general stability fixes.
  • Add performance improvements.
  • Other minor fixes.

Keen to try this tonight but now not so sure given peopls hardware and experiences here.

Only have a 2080, 32GB of RAM and i9 9900k with a modest clock running on it - was hoping to hook it up to my 4k TV, but might just have to leave it on the 1440p monitor?

I think 4k could be pushing it somewhat on that yeah
