***Hogwarts Legacy - RPG***

Finally started this today

First complaint - You can't pause during cutscenes.

Looks decent though, with Ray Reconstruction and Ultra settings (2160p with DLSS Quality)

Now I have a 5080, I revisited Hogwarts at 5120 x 1440 on a G9 with everything maxed and DLSS on quality.

It runs fantastic and looks great, the only thing that let's it down is 4x frame gen shows slight tearing even capping the framerate and gsync on windowed mode.

Cutcenes blink slightly when changing scenes.

No stutter ? Please tell us your secret !

There is traversal stutter, it's there for every system and will never not be there as the devs abandoned it in favour of a remaster iirc.

Yup MFG works incredibly well in this game (probably second best game I have tried with it, first being cp 2077). It won't help traversal stutter but it does make the rest of the experience considerably smoother looking compared to no FG or even just normal/2x FG.

I got to admit, having played the game for about 7 hours, it's not running great with all the Ray Tracing and Ray Reconstruction on, even when I've switched DLSS down from Quality to Performance.

That's on an 9800x3d with 4090.

Roll on the 5090

That's what I found, too. The latest DLSS version cripples performance with RT on ... introduces a load of stutter and huge FPS drops. That's on top of the existing traversal stutter. Switch RT off, and back to 120 fps+ at 4K.
