Holey Moley - A case mod

I think it will be the same for anyone who wants to make money on Hardware. Tom sells cases and watercooling stuff so he is a competitor. The other chap who anodizes Lian Li's hardly ever posts here now either, which is a shame as his work was also superb.

I can't help but think that OcUK should be selling these people's stuff - even on a referral basis eg. Have a new section for pre-modded and then OcUK refer you to a 'specialist'. OcUK supply the base kit at a margin, the customizer takes his bit and everyone is happy.
 
I agree, individuals are hardly "competition" for ocuk selling things they don't sell, services they don't offer etc etc but thats another discussion altogether.

I know Tom very well and I think the case is awesome, I planned to do the holes thing on my pc7 (idea copywrite matt100 c2006 lol) but I just didn't have the skills/patience etc for it. Say what you like about the colour but the mod is very skillfuly done.
 
Well I should hopefully get the case back on tuesday... so will start looking at what other little things I need to do to the case before it is ready to be populated!

Hey all... quick update on the case. Been far to busy with work to do anything really but have now got a snail added. Wasn't sure at first when I had it done if i'd made the right decison but it now hits the sweet spot in my heart just right.

Sorry, but I think you've ruined it. It was lovely, understated (if a Pink PC-777 can be understated). At least it should be easy to airbrush out.
 
what does Tom think of that? I thnk you've trashed it too tbh, hours and hours of careful understated modding.. and an airbrushed cartoon snail??

I'm not sure about the snail motif either but have to say that if he likes it then fine - it is his case after all.
 
i dunno, i think it finishes it of just right, maybe it's a bit to big, but it just seemed way to plain before, i hesitate to say i like it, pink not being my colour, or my certain lack of love for snails but it doesn't look any 'less' than it did before
 
I know its his case to do with what he wants bt seriously WTF?

I thought the pink was bad enough but :eek: Black and Green neons that case would be sweet
 
Could we 'LOSE' the snail instead? I'd hate to think of a 'LOOSE' snail.. I mean imagine what would become of the world, with all these LOOSE snails slithering around.

Hi!

Sometimes it can be really funny to twist someone's mis-spelling, or exploit loose grammar for a decent double entendre but it usually only works with someone you know well (on or off the boards) and it has to have a big " :D " next to it just in case your humour is less obvious to everyone else than it is to you. If your humour falls flat (like it has here) then you look like a boring pedant.

Most of the people posting on here are University students bunking off lectures (they also bunked off their English classes at school which explains their excreble grammar and spelling) so you tend to have to turn a blind eye to the appalling way things are written.

At least the moderators don't tolerate text-speak and you'd be really hard pressed to find anyone swearing.

So, to recover the thread focus - What do you think of the case?

IMO the Lian-Li " Conch " to give it it's correct slang name ( i'll stop the snail talk ) was the finest asthetically / designed case there has been.

I tried to source a black one but £200+ was too much for my budget.

The top mod is excellent and the anodising ( if it's a deep purple and the camera flash is just distorting the colour) is superb.

Fair play and i'm extremely jealous. :D

nice case mate, love the colour but i have to agree with the majority vote and LOSE the snail. Keep up the good work and post some more pics with an update soon hopefully :D
