How many holidays do you get to take at work? And if you get over the normal amount, do you feel bad taking multiple extended periods off even when things are still busy where you work?
Eh? Are you asking how many days people are contractually allowed to take, or how many block holidays have people taken? What do you mean by 'getting over the normal amount'?
I get 21 days plus bank holidays at the moment but this year it'll get increased to 25 days. When I take time off things usually get put on hold until I get back, I suppose I should feel flattered.... but I don't!
I get 27 days + lieu days for bank holidays I work. And no, I don't feel bad for taking my holidays. They are mine, and I'm entitled to take them when I need them, just like everyone else.
25 days plus bank holidays. I don't feel guilty at all. It's my right to take my holidays, I'm entitled to them, and I deserve them. The longest block I've ever taken is 2 weeks.
It's also mandatory that out of that, as I work for a bank, I have to take 2 weeks consecutive leave to meet FSA requirements. Noty that that's a problem.
