Home made case

I bet the quality is on the same level with Lian Li!

I don't, not one bit.

Will be FAR superior to Lian Li, each part made to fit as a one off with skilled hands will always be better than a machine made mass produced product. Just like character in things; cases especially. I doubt yours will fall apart, and I think you will look after it more considering youve spent so long on it. :)

looks awesome, i always wanted to create a custom case
a cube shaped case to take a normal atx board.
not as small as an aspire, and not as big as a mountainmods.

fit perfectly as a media centre rig under the tv

Its looking sweet, are you thinking of anodising the panels or getting them brushed?, that would be the icing on the cake but im guessing itll be dear as hell. There are some nice power switches on sale at a competitor with blue led in them, i think that would be a nice addition to your case.

Thanks for your positive feedback guys.

I have some of those switches but the solid variety without the illumination.

Going to mirror pollish the whole chassis but only once I have the case fully assembled and when I am happy with it will I drill out the rivets and polish each panel individually. Well thats the plan anway. :)

Keeping the overall style of the case simple, one dvd drive bay (only front draw panel viewable) Front I/O ports, on/off and DVD buttons.

If you think of the way the front panel curves top and bottom on the V1000+. I am aiming for that but with solid ally. My silverstone lascala case has inspired me with the front panel design, or atleast the construction. ;)

Top man, :) :)

Did you realise you have a monster in your res!!!!
Thats not my case, its from a modding site.

Was the switch easy to replace in the PC7+, I have done the power LED already
Theres a full guide on how to do it, i dont think i can link to it as it may have a competitor on there, ill have a look now. From the guide it looked very easy to do, a bit of cutting is required but it looked easy enough to do. Ive also changed the LED colour in my PC-7+.

EDIT: Yeh it links to a competitor so i cant post the site, but if you can find where this switch is sold the link to the guide for fitting it is on that page HTH.

That case is coming along really well mate. You are doing a superb job there. Looks like it is going to turn out to be a very classy case. All credit to your hard work.

Changing the switch is quite easy on the PC7 to a Bulgin, just make sure your switches are not all in on PCB as then you will have to do some work to it.
