Has very little to do with gearbox other than funding and sharing the homeworld ip. Afaik they are having nothing to do with development at all with homeworld shipbreakers.

Also BBI have thrown away all the story and stuff because they have the homeworld ip now so thats all getting rewritten to use homeworld lore. So whatever was known about shipbreakers i.e the planet, the units, whatever thats now being redone.

Talk about necroing a thread but, I've just finished homeworld 1 remastered and am keen to see a Homeworld 3.... anyone know what's happening with this?

Same, hopefully there'll be some press coverage soon but it worries me that the game footage in the announcement trailer looks identical (in terms of visual quality) to the Shipbreakers preview from mid-2013.

I used to visit their website hoping for some announcement for nearly a year. I thought this game had pretty much died, so to hear this is great news!

I've never played home world, so I wouldn't know how this compares but from what I've seen, it looks like the sort of game I've been waiting for a looooong time!
