I think that the above quote from the BBC News site is absolute ****!
I know that I'm old but in my experience, the large majority of people wearing hoodies (up) do so because they don't want to be identified; obviously, if it's pouring with rain etc, it's common sense.
I think that we all know the groups of youngsters who do this "hoodie" thing are wanting to look intimidating and really are likely to be up to no good.
Not everyone who wears a hoodie is a wannabe gangsta, but IMO most are.
I'm not looking to start a youngsters V oldies war here but I want to know why anyone who is not a wannabe gangsta or gang member would wear one (especially with hood up) knowing that most people have that stereotypical opinion (bad) .....?
