Horizon: Zero Dawn [PS4]

I need a rabbit skin for the last weapon. Had spent over 3000 shards for the few last remaining good weapons. That splatter gun with the spikes that tears everything off?

I think all I have left before the last mission is the hunting grounds, 2 cauldrons and the banuck figures and mugs. As well as a few skills. Level 50 a few nights ago.

Question on Death from Above.
I turned off the 3 devices and quest objective changed to kill the stormbird.

I ran out into the open and turned ready to face it only to find it had gone and quest objective changed to explore the workshop.

Checked the quest log and it had a tick next to kill the stormbird but there is no sign of it anywhere. No body no sign of it flying in the distance.........

Anyone else have this? I really wanted to get the loot out of it after killing it! Lol

Taking a break from the story to get my gear sorted out. Shadow Ropecaster ftw! Makes dealing with those shellwalker groups a piece of cake, two hits and they're down. Want to get the longer range bow next but have to farm Sawtooths for a heart.

Just buy it from the trader in Meridian, it's what I did for a couple of the weapons as it saves hunting over and over until you get a heart.

What was up with Cauldron XI? Seriously dissapointing that one was. Either it was abandoned or not finished being built by the machines. Though it was a different kind of pretty with all the jungle stuff inside.

Now on to the last one, Zeta. :D

Just finished inc all caldrons, tallnecks and after HOURS of searching the super duper armour :D

Best game I've played in a long time. Great story, crackin' gameplay, stunning visuals :)

The only thing I'd change if I was nitpicking would be to make the override more interesting, if you could simply send your machine ploughing into enemies it would have made that dynamic much more interesting, but hey, there's always the inevitable sequel!

Didn't realise you could buy em :) I'm getting through quests at a fair clip now and I don't want to rush the game so happy to go try out different ways of taking down machines. Spent an hour hunting foxes to get the bloody skin for the unlimited travel pack!

Nasty things those Snapmaws. Creepy how quickly they turn.

You need to be popping those head canisters man...Snapmaws are great fun! Make a nice BOOOM when both canisters explode, and leaves em with just a sliver of health.

Enjoying the game even more now I've got better gear and more strats for the different machines. Got the shadow sharpshot bow now with some nice tear mods so can wreck most machines pretty bad with the opening attack then hit the vulnerable parts with ease.

Just need the last shadow bow now so I've got the full range of elemental damage to hit those exposed bits.

I would like to see more crowd control options. The ropecaster is really handy for taking on groups, but if you aggro a second herd you've usually got no choice but to just run for the hills...be nice to have some kind of 'scare' ability to get them to back off...

So loud that Cauldron. In my battle the Thunderjaw killed itself running into the wall trying to get me.

Decided I wanna go digital as I already have £20 PSN credit. Anyone reckon this will be added to the Easter sale, or are the games in the sale usually finalised before?

Cannot praise this game enough. It's one of the few games I felt compelled to platinum, and I literally wanted to see everything it had to offer. It's been a great year on PS4 so far with Nioh and Nier Automata also being excellent, but this is another level. Gameplay mechanics were spot on, and combat was interesting and varied with the machines displaying excellent AI. I loved the cauldrons, even the hunting trials were pretty cool. But the story really took me by surprise. Kept me interested throughout, the writing is great, and Aloy was one of the best characters I've played as in recent years. Horizon is easily the best game I've played since The Witcher 3, and even surpasses that in some areas. It's not perfect but then there's no such thing as a 10/10 game in my opinion. This is about as close as it gets though. Bring on the expansion!!

Bit the bullet, paid £28 for £30 credit and bought it.

Unlikely it's going on sale for a while given the critical reception. Maybe summer sale?

You won't find another single player game more worth the money at full price! Gets better the more you play, cleared my second Cauldron now....don't want it to end!

Really enjoying this, finished Zelda last week and you don't get quite the same sense of exploration with H:ZD and the environment doesn't respond to you as much but the action is epic and it's very pretty! The story is very well done so far and Aloy is certainly much more likeable than the typical gruff lead characters in most open world games.

There's obviously a lot of recycled ideas but they've been polished up nicely and the robot animal post-apocalyptic setting is pulled off so well that it feels unique despite the borrowed gameplay.

I don't want it to end. Think I have 131 hours on it so far. Have the banuk figures and mugs to collect and the timed trials before going onto the final mission. Want the big finale to be the finale. Want to be blown away what is yet still to happen.

Yeah, I had this. Think I'd overridden a nearby Bellowback and the Stormbird went off to fight with it while I was disabling the 3 devices. Got the tick to say I'd killed it even though I could see it hovering in the distance.

Can anyone tell me what the harvest arrow does? I use it on machines and nothing's seems to happen.
