Horror games

Neil, thanks for the heads-up on Scratches. That's one for my girlfriend. :)

But...Amnesia, not scary? Really?

+ 1 it's a game you should have in your library especially if you are a fan of horror games.I love watching all the reaction videos of people playing amnesia,it's funny watching people play petrified. I stil don't have the guts to play it through to the end though.

I've poo'd myself several times already....I have no idea what to do when you go round a corner and there is somethng there....I try and run, but die, I throw boxes at them, and I die :(...Swear my heart stopped the other day.

Amnesia : The Dark Descent, that wasn't scary :(

clive barker's undying

or

You're silly...Have you played the full game? You've either got balls of steel or are lying :p..OR you aren't doing what the game TELLS you to do at the begining, and emerse yourself in to the atmosphere as opposed to just 'playing' the game.

Yes Yes i have, I remember the fountain and the lift shaft... The water beast, having to keep out of the water. If anything the game made me feel nasuated from the way the camera angle worked in almost complete darkness at times. :(

Camera angle? It's a standard FOV I thought? :p

I dunno, it really gets my heart pounding sometimes...You just have balls of steel :o

;)

Well...

I'm a paranormal investigator who walks through dark corridors, historic buildings, graveyards at times on his own. That's far more scary :D

Penumbra games made me poop myself, absolutely immense atmosphere and one of the best PC game's ive played.

Silent Hill 2 but that was on PS2.

If you have a suspicion something is nearby (peek round corners before turning if you hear something nearby) you have to try and figure out where it is so you can hide till it's gone. Stick to the dark corners, turn off your lamp etc. Hide in a cupboard if you can! Don't forget, like real life if you stick your head out to look too often they might sppot you, you have to wait. Or run back out the nearest door to the next 'section' (with a load screen) they don't tend to follow through those.

I don't imagine people pay him for it Yosiah. Although if they do, I want in! If Most Haunted can do it with a green camera filter and some wobblecam footage, I can too :D

Let me put it this way as i've had a lot of experience in it!. Very few paranormal groups make a profit or CON people, there maybe a set pot aside incase someone pulls out or it goes towards the food and drink and future deposits.

But i will tell you who con people, the council and the owners of the property!.

Valentines mansion Essex
- £215 Security Fees
- £512 Up front, £200+ Deposit
- All equipment to have certification and only limited to a few rooms.

Dover Castle
- £1000 - £1500 £500+ Deposit

Some inns have charged us £312 for an investigation between 11pm and 4am, but then that's only the bottom floor and two bedrooms. Now factor in how you would get the money?, that's right the paranormal company has to charge people ticket money, each sold ticket goes towards the Deposit and the Full payment towards the property. You can thank most haunted for that, Fort Amhurst in chatham used to charge £15 each from 11pm - 6am, they now charge upto £50 and a huge deposit.

So think again it's not the groups that are conning you, it's the property owners and the council
