Horror games

Metro 2033 is OK, the fact they scream from miles away kind of makes it a bit less scary. The little ones are worse, made me jump the first time they came out of nowhere. Never really played any other supposedly scary games, usually a military fps/halo/crysis sort of games guy.

May have to drop amnesia a download though :)

There's a game coming out called asylum, it's going to scare the **** out of people when it's released.

thread is on this forum ;)

The scariest bit in any game was the haunted house/hotel in vampire masquerade.

Darkseed on the amiga was also good, was there a pc version?

+ 1 it's a game you should have in your library especially if you are a fan of horror games.I love watching all the reaction videos of people playing amnesia,it's funny watching people play petrified. I stil don't have the guts to play it through to the end though.

FEAR one is still decent to play through providing your sitting alone in the dark :) I did enjoy cold fear aswell not too sure if it works on windows 7 tho. Also anyone remember a game called The Suffering? i thought it was a pretty decent game with some scares :)

a few others to note doom 3 and the addon and maybe The Thing?

FEAR works fine on Windows 7 (at least, the Steam version does). The Extraction Point DLC has some of the best moments, IMO.

I played The Suffering a couple of years ago, and despite the aging graphics it was very atmospheric at times, coupled with a decent story, so recommended imo.
