Hottest day on the 17th was at Hampton Water Works in South West London, at 32.2C, breaking the 90F mark for the 1st time this year.

I expect that to be beaten over the weekend.

Can I just add, that this is the 1st time for at least 6 years that we in the UK are experiencing something called Summer.

30 degrees here, which would be bearable if it wasn't for the humidity taking it up to 40. At least it appears to be keeping the mosquito swarms at bay.

The forecasted thunderstorms should make it more bearable.

And to think it was -35 only 5 months ago.

Tuesday I'd changed my teeshirt before it was even 11pm, then spent the day dreaming about getting home and into the cold shower. It's actually got a faulty heater but no point in fixing it in this weather.
The cats appreciate me leaving the windows open all night too, so they can pop in and out.
