HOT HOT HOT

30.8c in the house and 38% humidity.

Can't find any fans either, everywhere's sold out, even checked some online stores for sat delivery and out of stock, other than over inflated price places, which I ain't paying.

Heh! Reminds me last winter or the previous trying to get snow shovels. Couldn't get any until the summer as they were always sold out.

How easy is it to fit?
Ceiling fans are easy to get hold of.

Pretty easy if your handy. Ply patress between the existing ceiling joists and a bit of electrics and your done. The hunter model we bought has a remote unit and its receiver sits in the top cowl of the unit. All it then needs is a live/earth/neutral feed broken over a double pole fused spur into the lighting ring.

oh dear, predictions for next week in SE, 35c

I sure as hell hope that doesn't happen! I don't mind nice weather, but a solid 20ish degrees is perfect to be honest. We've been hovering about or close to the 30s for a couple of weeks and then some now. It's tiring!

Its not the heat next week its the humidity, its predicted to go through the roof. Heat+humidity=urgh.

Thank the lord I have some time off work next week, it'd be unbearable. Yesterday I felt really rough, despite taking a drink I think I got dehydrated, drank gallons when I got home, didn't pee until late in the evening and it was almost black, never seen anything like that before. Took umpteen litres of drink with me today but was still damn thirsty at the end of the day, its stiflingly hot in there.

38% shouldn't make too much difference. We've had 80+% for the last week which has meant a nice sticky 10c rise in temp.

Hate this hot weather, bring on autumn, at least with cold weather you can be active without sweating buckets, cold weather is so much easier to handle, modern houses keep their heat well even when its cold outside especially in living room with lots of electrical equipment and when you go out just put a coat on.
