If Wikipedia is correct it didn't launch until the middle of 1996 but you must have been a pretty early adopter anyway. I'm comparatively new against that in that I must have signed up in 98 or possibly just before because it was done in a computing lesson at school.
And? As far as I understand .com isn't country specific (although a lot of people seen to think it is.) which is one reason people would prefer it over .co.uk.
I love the fact that .tv is actually the domain of some tiny country in the Pacific and their sole economic income is through the licensing of their .tv franchise.
