House spider challenge

The big one/clock spider is a mutant. Would one that big attack you?

Yup, it specialises in waiting till you're asleep, then crawls inside your mouth and eats its way out.

j/k :p

Found a few mins ago, not massive but pretty big, i tryed to take a pic of it on my hand but it kept playing silly beggers and running up my arm  :D .

You let it on your hand?

I'm not scared of spiders but the thought of big ones, particularly house spiders, on my hand freaks me out.

A story..

I remember 7-8 years ago I decided I wanted a pet spider. My mum would never allow me to go out and buy one proper, especially a big Tarantula so I decided a house spider was the next best thing.

So I got on the Internet and browsed a few webpages on spiders before coming across a site that had a little 'E-Mail Me' button, so I did. I asked for some information on house spiders and whether it was a good idea or not to keep them. The guy replied and said they make good pets but unfortunately it wasn't the right time of the year for them so I'd have to wait.

Anyways, no more than a day or so later I remember I was sat watching MTV and out of nowhere I felt something fall in to my head and in to my hair. Just one of those things I guess, but I instantly knew exactly what it was and I'm sure you do too ;). I crapped myself and ruffled my hair with my hands and what should drop out and on to the floor? Yep, a giant house spider! Unfortunately I was still a little shocked and so I wasn't quick enough to catch it and it disappeared down a crack at the side of a cupboard.

Freaky eh? I mean first of all, according to the guy, they shouldn't have even been around, but what are the chances of it falling on my head out of everything it could have possibly fallen on to in my living room?

Ahh, some pretty nice specimens already  Keep 'em coming!

I love Bunka's offering - that was the one that inspired this thread.

Those of you in other countries, feel free to post also. The only condition is that you must have caught it yourself, obviously. Massive respect from all if it's poisonous :D I'm really looking for the common British house spider tho...

I don't mind them when i can see where they are but if they go under my sleeve or even worse down my kecks i begin to panic lol. I don't see anything to be scared about really, they are very small compared to us and could be pwned in seconds should they try anything ;) .
