Green light for construction of thousands of new Starter Homes

so based on the local authorities info and what i see with my own eyes in my area, the OP is BS.
Enormous amount of house building have been going on in my area and in the surrounding countryside and on the edges of towns and villages for years.
We've lost a lot of good land.
Everyone knows that loads of house building is going on, except for the very religious types who like Labour and so on.

I agree, in fact anyone who follows any god should be barred from entry.
Well that would be silly. Not all religions are like Islam.
You're also missing how religious belief translates to political belief.
It's not a coincidence that as belief in Christianity in this country declined, belief in the State rose.
People merely switched their blind belief from a man in the sky, to government, with the difference being that a man in the sky is fairly benign, and a government is not.

A communist or globalist is just as dangerous as a believer in the prophet who married a six year old girl.

For myself there's no win on this.

I don't want more people, our country is waaaay to populated. Its very hard to get away from it all as we have so little countryside left.
But our damn economic model requires a bottom heavy demographic (this is a broken system)
Maybe robotics and AI will be the only thing to break this.

Back to homes, again, I don't want more houses. But looking for a house myself the new builds are overpriced and bland. Most people have said 'don't get a new build if you don't have to'. Could be anecdotal but I'm on that too. Not seen any I like. Mainly they are crammed in (red row not So bad)

But it's better than renting. And with the house price rises it's hard to keep up. We are saving 1k a month roughly. But with the 4pc ish you increase its been tough house hunting.

Most people can't save anywhere near that.

Damn right it would.
Why invest in technology and training of the indigenous population when you can import a cheap worker from abroad, then buy another yacht with the profits.
Productivity among the people living in the UK is so bad because they are importing low skilled workers to do the job which a machine could do more efficiently.

Most people can't save anywhere near that.
It'd be nice if those who created this society in which indigenous people cannot afford housing, were to pay for it.
"Hey, politicians - we are confiscating your wealth to compensate our people for your treachery. What's that? You do not consent? Ok then, we will shoot you right here, and then confiscate your wealth. You have three seconds to choose."

All religions are dangerous.
The brand of Christianity we had in the UK was beneficial.
I'm not a Christian, and it's impossible for me to be religious whether in a traditional religious sense or in a political sense.
But for the 95%++ who do have a tendency towards at least some form of religious-style thinking, they would be a lot better off being a Christian than by being a socialist, for example.

It's all going to end in fall out. Our social benefits system requires more working people than old people. Eventually all those working people become the old people, and you need even more working people to support them, and so on and so on. No party is going to stand up and say "vote for us, we'll reduce pensions and state aid" it's political suicide even though it's necessary. The system in the UK is a population ponzi scheme. That's the reason for immigration, not some conspiracy theory, it's to bolster the number of people who are paying tax and that's it. The problem is, if they stay which they're entitled to if they've worked here for so long, they'll end up old and draining tax money too.

We have it far too good in this country, and no one wants to give up the benefits. So we'll keep pretending everything's okay, the population will continue to rocket. Houses will keep getting built, completely engulfing villages that were on the outskirts of towns, roads, buses, trains will get more busy, people will get more stressed. All sense of local identity will be gone because all the young people have to move to the outskirts of where they work (which probably won't be near where they were brought up anyway) and spend silly amounts of time commuting because house prices are insane. It's just all ****.

There's a lot more to it than that.........

Why import people who are a net cost to the taxpayer, such as Somalis? That blows your argument out of the water right away.
Who makes money from an increasing population? Bankers! They do this by loading people up with debt. "Here is a loan for a house/ car/ holiday/ TV/ 2080ti". Who bribes the government? Bankers!
Who makes money from mass unskilled immigration? Big business! Who bribes the government? Big Business!
Ideological reasons: globalism > nations must be destroyed > mix everyone up from within and without > no one thinks of himself as English or German or Swedish any more > globalists have power forever.
The man who invented the concept of the EU said in his book Praktischer Idealismus that the ethnicities of Europe must be destroyed for pan-Europeanism to succeed. He said that this would be done by importing Africans and Asians to create a new race of people with no national identity.

When they tell you that we must import millions of people to look after our elderly, they are lying to you.
The politicians who import these people will be retired or dead when they have to answer for their crimes, so why care.

A very useful skill to have (essential in fact) is to not believe the people who are lying to you.

You've just proved my point. Even if they as an individual don't pay enough tax. They will bolster the business they work for and enable them to pay even more tax.

No, because they are a net cost.
More than 80% of the women don't work.
More than 50% of the men don't work.

Merely increasing the population does not lead to a net tax gain.
If that was the case, then the government would always run a surplus, and we wouldn't be 2 trillion in debt.
Maybe you are confusing GDP (which tends to increase with increasing population) and the tax take, which does not, in relation to costs.

The reasons I gave you are the real reasons for the mass importation of people.

If you are an indigenous British person, then it might be painful to realise how badly you've been screwed. Not just you, but your kids as well. Your kids even more so than you.
If you're ever going to try and fix the problem, then you first have to understand the problem.

Are you thinking of voting for globalists or commies at the forthcoming election, because I would suggest that you don't, for the good of your conscience.

There have been plenty of low priced starter homes built around the north east. Just the usual tit for tat political nonsense which the parties throw around. Progress in this country would be so much better if we could actually get rid of all this nonsense of party politics and have an opposition which works in a functional way instead of the disgrace that they currently are.

You realise this report was produced by the NAO don't you, a politically impartial organisation?

Even better would be to abolish party politics (ie. "representative" democracy) completely, and instead have a system of a strong constitution and direct democracy, with information about decisions front-loaded, so a question might go like this:
"Do you want to import ten thousand Syrians to live in your area? This is what it will cost you, this is how much the crime rate can be expected to rise, this is how many extra rapes you can expect", and so on.
Or, "do you want to give away £13,000,000,000 in foreign aid? This is how much it will cost you in extra taxes".
Then you'd find that people would make wiser choices.

No, they would make selfish choices.

Oh may lord - that's EXACTLY what the op is about - the fact that the building has been "given the green light" but the homes have yet to be actually be built.

No, they would make selfish choices.
Yes, wiser choices.

"Do we want to pay higher taxes and suffer more crime and rape to import Syrians, or do we want to virtue signal about it?"

Front-loaded information referendums - this allows people to believe that they have more of a stake in the decision, rather than having a traitor to make the choice for them.

Only new build homes I have seen in my area have been over priced Help to Buy blocks of apartments, only there to make ££££. So tired of the Conservatives only looking to make the rich richer.

Conservative Party = make rich richer.
Labour Party = make poor poorer.
Etc.

Make your choice, or choose wisely.
