Ubuntu 8.10 with cairo-dock and nice background from interfacelift :)

After the release of Intrepid I decided to make the jump to linux as my default operating system, haven't looked back.

Why is it, when I apply themes from Gnome Look on Ubuntu 8.10 that it interferes with applications look, i.e. on the Google homepage, the search bar changes colour too? It ruins a large majority of themes...

Questions!

1. Link to wall please :)

2. Link to calender please :)

3. How to you make the task bar go to the bottom?

4. How do you get rid of the bar that is already at the bottom after a default install?

Don't know 1 or 2, but 3 and 4 you just click on the panel and you can edit it as you see fit; add or remove any icons you like.

You can drag the panels anywhere you like.

Just left click and hold and drag.

you can also delete panels via the right mouse button but be warned.. If you ever shrink a window you will be scratching your head to get it back.. It's usually around that time you discover ctrl + tab !!
