Just out of interest, I wondered what people consider 'too much'

And is it true that banks arent allowed to charge you for them anymore? I have a £200 which I went about £150 into last month...

£100,means i cant get into too much debt. I got a letter when i was sat a £96 Dr saying i need to credit my account once a month to keep my overdraft etc etc.

£150.

I think there's questionable legality in certain banks charging you for going into the red.

People getting charged £30 for going £10 in the red for example, causing them to then go £40 in the red. Those with staggered cash flow might find it difficult to pay off the overdraft immediately, so the bank charge another £30 taking them £70 in the red. People argue that it's not fair and is making it very difficult for people to pay the bank bank as the bank themselves keep pushing them further down and making the situation worse.

Basically mines to extend if I get into trouble through overspending or if something little and sudden needs doing to the car (IE tyres etc) and if its any bigger saves all my wages been eaten up!

mine is about £3500. Rarely use it but every 6-12months i get a letter saying they added £500 on it

Same with credit card, its payed off in full using direct debit but they still up my limit every so long

edit, with NatWest, bog standard current account

£1600 I think
edit - hold on, are you asking what the limit is, or what I actually owe? I'm not in debt at all, but my limit is 1600.

1500 here currently at about 1400 :( but pay day Friday. Had to buy a car in January and insurance. that's why I'm in my overdraft, once your in it's very hard to get out.

£500, only been in it twice, once at christmas and when i went on holiday. was back out of it as quick as i went in it
