How do I sue talktalk?

You could go down the 4g router route

I'm confused you want to link something else to your phone to make it a wireless access point...thats literally what tethering from your phone achieves.

Thanks, yes I've tried USB tethering now. That's probably the angle.

Just need to get another USB 3>2 lead so I can keep the microphone plugged in

I had an issue of fraud, lies and deception from their engineers company years ago and kept all the info and mailed Dido Harding using the below website, on Friday, got a call Monday morning and by midday was leaving them with compensation and a letter of apology.

Use wisely as you only get a couple of dibs before it boots you from the site, or at least it used to be that way.

As with most things these days, you will get a better response by taking this to social media.
Doesn’t work. Their social media staff are similarly half witted dullards too.
Demand to speak to their executive complaints department. Then you'll get through to some brass that can do something useful hopefully.
I tried that. They don’t have anyone to escalate it to, apparently.

Easily one of the worst companies I’ve had to deal with. Shame too, as their actual internet service was very good for the couple of years I was with them.

Good old Talktalk, the Currys of ISPs.

I'd rather communicate with the smoke signals I could create when I burn their office to the ground.

Thanks, I tried FWIW

I've had no problems with Vodafone except the constant attempts to sell me their broadband (which I don't use - only have phones with them) - I've actually considered leaving them as when you get like 3 emails, 3 physical mailshots, 2 text messages and 2-3 attempts to call (probably pushing the same) about their broadband service in a couple of weeks it is just like "get the ******* message if I wanted your broadband I'd have signed up already" and now I won't use their broadband out of principle.

For me it took TT 6 months to fail to turn up twice for a "hassle free" FTTC to FTTP switch and then after I told them to jog on another month to actually get someone inside the company to end my contract as I wasn't doing it via the auto switch route to another ISP.

I didn't actually lose any connectivity as my FTTC connection stayed live. TT specifically asked me this question in a follow up call. So if the OP lost connection due to their incompetence I suspect you have good grounds to get compensation.

I never had this experience with Vodafone but I have free EU roaming on my contract after joining Vodafone broadband and that's a bonus for me.

Sounds very similar to when I switched away from TalkTalk about 15 years ago. Set a disconnect date to the day before the new ISP was taking over then cut me off the second the call was finished, left me 18 days without internet. Not so much a big deal back then & I had a good neighbour who allowed me to use his broadband via stringing an ethernet cable from his router to my desktop.

It might be that you're on a phone exchange area where they are trying to upgrade everyone to FTTP?

As soon as the FTTP process starts they cut off the copper line.

You can still use your phones on the new line by connecting your landline phone through the router.
