How do you Configure your Storage Drives?

What I do with mine, is I keep separate drives for distinct "filing cabinets" if you like. I do not partition drives, but use separate drives. So I have one drive for the OS, another for my games ( which is the bulk of applications ), another for work, another for media. They vary in size accordingly. The reason I separate them like that is in the event of corruption or failure I don't lose too much information and also I can readily move or replace drives keeping reinstalling or downloading to a minimum. For example, I can transfer all my games to another PC just by swapping one drive.Yes, they need to be installed again but when you consider there is 2TB of data, well, at least I don't have to download all that again! They are also, of course, backed up so I can restore them fairly easily, but it can be extremely time consuming to move terabytes from a backup to a PC.
