Well we all do it, go out one night, have a few too many drinks, wake up the next day with a cracking hangover!

Everyone has their own things that perk them up the next day e.g big greasy fry up, water, toast, going for a jog....

So, whats yours? Personally i have a craving for coke, seems to wake me up though :)

I usually just try go back to sleep until it wears off.

I always beast some water down me when I get home though and try to eat something. (Although not too much because in makes my stomach funky)

be proactive ....

i usually find that when i get home, i have a huge drink of orange juice, and make sure i am very hydrated before going to sleep.

if not, then drink as much water as possible, and try to eat something to get the salts back inside you

other than that, i usually just stay in bed, and force myself to sleep

:)

sleep is the way forward to be honest, otherwise you've just got to suck it up and take the consequences  though if you're lucky you're still a bit tipsy when you get to work so it doesn't hit you until around lunchtime :D

Sometimes I don't really get them and maybe just feel a little groggy and tired (you don't sleep properly when you've been drinking, as much as you might think you do).

Other weekend though... obviously mixed too many different types of drink. White wine, stella, fosters, tequila, sambuca, aftershock..

It was a headache probably compareable to being shot in the face.

:(

I tend to drink a few pints of water before i go to bed then the hangover isnt as bad when you wake up, although you may need the biggest pee when you wake up

Cream crackers......could do with some right now *grabs acheing head*

Dont make you feel sick and seem to soak up thte alcohol.

Hangovers are simple to cure. There's no magic remedy.

The main reason for a hangover is sheer dehydration. Alcohol is a diuretic, which stimulates the production of urine. Meaning you go to the toilet more than normal and pee out quite a bit of fluid during the night. Even though you're drinking quite a bit of water in your beer etc, the alcohol in your system prevents it from being in your system long and it's soon splashing back down the side of a wall.

So, the first port of call is to get some water back into your system. Try to drink some water before you go to sleep, but if you can't manage it, at least pour yourself a few glasses for in the morning. You'll need them.

Drink plenty of water when you're up and awake. Next is some decent food. Chances are your body has been feeding off the crap in your cocktails through the night and is severely lacking in nutrients. Have the following once you've had some water and eat it slowly.

Scrambled eggs.
A banana.
Some toast.

Those will get some goodness into you and along with a belly full of water, you'll be well on your way to losing your hangover.

I can often get rid of my hangover by doing that when waking up, faster than masking it with painkillers. :)

I recall once paying a fiver for a pack of (legal) tablets - you take a couple of them with each drink and they are meant to restore the stuff your body is losing through alcohol as you're drinking, the theory being that you end up with no hangover. Unfortunately they didn't work, though I did have something like a dozen pints that night (may as well give them a good try eh :p ). You also look extremely suspicious popping tablets into your mouth when you're in a pub or club.

Only sleep works for me. I hear everyone say that you should drink loads, but I find waking up at 6am bursting for a wazz is almost as annoying as a hangover.

Berocca. The answer to all your hangover needs.

This man speaks the truth! I have been taking them for ages now and always have one when I get in from a night out with a pint of water, I had *far* too much red wine last night and I only feel slightly groggy today :)

Best thing I do is prepare when I get in.

Walk in at about 2-3, have 3 pints of water and a slice of toast.

Wake up, no hangover. It's always worked for me.

Then again sometimes I'm too blind to remember so a greasy pizza has to suffice :p
