How do you make lips moist?

^^ on a more srs bsns note, I don't bother with lip balm. I find I don't get chapped lips if I don't constantly moisten my lips when I'm outside. Takes a bit of conscious effort to begin with at the start of the season, but don't have chapped lips now!

Alternatively, you could try the old Cornish tradition of kissing a cow's ringpiece. It won't actually cure chapped lips, but it'll stop you licking them for a while.

See I never used to balm my lips and never had an issue til I tried it last winter. hmm.

Tell us more about the long distance relationship and why having presentable lips will save it from crashing and burning due to all the normal and very common break up reasons.

Well, I'm hoping that two headstrong people will come to an arrangement on what they both want (seeing as both at the moment have no idea what they want to do). Hopefully that path has both parties valuing the other and as a result they can start to build a life based on the premise of being together. The long distance relationship is nothing but a stress test.

I have to say, I don't particularly enjoy the arrangement as it stands. But unless you've got a few hundred euros to help solve the issue, then it's going to have to be this way.

She's got a job to get experience in to help facilitate moving and being able to get a job in a difficult market, and I've got a MSc to finish to make myself somewhat more attractive to potential employers.

edit: just realised who wrote the statement I replied to, and realised that my musings are probably going to be ridiculed. Then again, I did set this thread up for some fun poking, so work away.

Coming up to colder temps.... no connection there...

Drink more water. Use chapstick. Stop licking your lips.

Earlier I read on reddit, that lip balms contain lots of stuff that actually dries out your lips. apart from the initial use obviously

I've always had dry lips. I think its the chalky water that does it.

Vaseline will give you greasy, smelly lips.
Blistex is for chapped or damaged lips.

For everyday use, get an aloe lipsyl.

You have to drink lots of water and make sure they aren't left wet. Water/saliva evaporating off the lips will dry them out.
